About Me
|
|
I was born and raised in New Jersey in a
female centered family. I have always had an appreciation for yoga and alternative approaches to health. I have been a student
of yoga since 1992 and have experienced many deep changes in myself since beginning my yogic practice. I value the changes
that I have personally experienced and I am honored to be able to provide guidance for others on their journey towards wholeness.
I received both my Bachelors degree
in Psychology as well as my Masters degree in Psychologoical Services from Kean University in Union, NJ. While completing
my MA, I graduated with my first 200 hour yoga teachers certification in 2002. After both graduations, I decided to move to
Rhinebeck, New York and begin working at The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. I truly enjoyed working as the Guest Services
Manager and enjoyed the three years that I spent at Omega. While working there, I realized that I have a deep love for supporting
others on their path towards wholeness. Towards this end, I decided to return to school and focus on a transpersonal and somatic
approach to psychology and healing. Currently, I am a 3rd Year Masters student and I look forward to graduating in June 2008.
But prior to leaving Omega I was lucky enough to obtain my second 200 hour yoga teacher training. After taking numerous workshops
at Omega with Gurmukh, in October 2004, I continued my yogic studies and received my certification as a Kundalini Yoga &
Meditation teacher from 3HO at The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. This summer I was blessed enough to be able to attend
and complete the KRI taught 100 hour - Conscious Pregnancy course, therefore adding prenatal yoga to my schedule.
